I'm just a simple scraper...with either to much time on my hands or not enough! Lately with 5 children...not enough! I hope you enjoy my little blog. If you do please follow along or feel free to make a comment. I love to hear other people's opinions...at least most of the time.

Camping Trip

It's been a little busy these past few weeks, so I'm a little late getting this on the blog. Cards and Layouts were done with Belle Blvd's Camped Out collection for Lila's Scrapbooking.

Of course I had to make my own embellishments to make it a "Tracy" layout! Using the designs printed on the paper I was inspired to enlarge the flowers on card 1 and the single layout (I wrinkled the flowers on the double for more texture). I also made my own fish, hook (out of craft wire), tent and tree on the double layout. To get a color variance on the tree leaves I used a watermark pen. And, what seems to be my new favorite embellishment, a googly eye on the fish.

Life's A Picnic!

Don’t you love it! These little ants were busy running away with your goodies when you were busy visiting with your family and friends!

Lots of little bits and pieces make this kit one of my cutest yet. Here I’ve inked the edges of the food items which give them a softer and more playful appeal.
The eye in the front of the ant is a googly eye and the back is card stock which you'll have to draw the pupil on so I suggest using Glossy Accents which will give it a more consistent feel. Some variations you could do include using pop ups and of course glitter.

And as always a 12”x12” uncut card stock is included so you can put your pictures on anyway you like.

Pick one up at Lila's Scrapbooking and More will supplies last!

Dinomite!

As always you can pick this Kit of the Month "Dinomite" at Lilia's Scrapbooking for $12 while supplies last.

A 12”x12” card stock is left uncut so you can add as many pictures spots as you like. Use a watermark pen and outlined the legs, stripes and face. Inked the edges of the dinos and ferns for depth. Use glitter glue on the eggs and dino’s back. Finish it all off with googlie eye and your favorite pictures!
Have fun!

Tiny Princess

This weeks layout was created with Little Yellow Bicycle's Tiny Princess and can be seen on display at Lila's Scrapbooking. Other products used were Stickles by Ranger and Versa Magic Chalk Ink by Tsukineko.  I sanded the background of the cards and inked up the edges of the flowers to give them a more shabby chic look.

I made the little album into a story book of Cinderella. Inside the envelopes will be questions about the story. To finish it I used ribbons, buttons, flowers, and of course a little bling!

My tiny princess double layout was inspired by a printed paper from the same line. I just drew and cut out a larger image of the images I thought would work best for the page. I used ink on the edges, glitter  to make it sparkle and, my favorite, buttons to represent grass.

May's Kit of the Month

"Happy Birthday"
Show off your birthday celebration with this original handmade
“Happy Birthday” double page kit. All you need to do is put it together! A 12”x12” green card stock is left uncut so you can add as many pictures spots as you like. For a personal touch ink the edges before you construct each piece, add a little glitter glue or use pop-ups for a little depth to your layout. You can purchase this kit for $12.00 at

Finally Some Sunshine!

This weeks kit was done with Best Creation Inc's Jubilee. I've been wanting to do a altered project like the one I did here with the flower pot, and as I look outside at the pouring rain of Everett, Washington I have to say... it was nice to have a little sunshine, at least on paper! As always you can see these projects in person Lila's Scrapbooking and More and purchase everything you need to make your own beautiful scrapbooking project.
With a little wire and floral tap I've made the kite fly
and the tail float behind it!

Pre-shaped chip board covered with textured paper, layered with pop-ups and finished with a button! Add a little wire and poof! Flowers!
Here I used my sewing machine to stitch texture and add a little interest to the layers of paper that I used to back my photos. I then made tulle roses and inked them with a little color for depth.

Cards...quick and easy!

Seattle Rain

My layout and altered items this week where created with Nikki Sivils's collection "It's Raining, It's Pouring".  I really enjoyed working with this collection. Since we live in the Conversion Zone here in Puget Sound it was weather inspired.

To make my projects pop I also used Ranger Glossy Accents through out the project as well as Memento Dew Drop to ink the edges on the "Rain Day" book.

You can see my projects at Lila's Scrapbooking and More and purchase the paper collection.

I love this piece! A great project with a recycled bottle.

A fun little book that will be filled with
little photo's when each item is completed.

Inside of "10 Things on a Rainy Day".
